Now that I guess I qualify as a senior citizen I’d like to know at what age do you become an elderly person? Why aren’t we called village elders? At least that indicates a modicum of respect.
@Jeber Since I'm four years from being 60 and the last ten years only took two weeks, it's hard for me to not feel I'm an honorary senior citizen. I think the word "elderly" gets wheeled out when the person becomes frail or chronically ill. To me it's more a state than an age.
Baby Boomers aren't old until we say we're old. There are more of us than there are of them.

I don't know your exact health or age (nor am I fishing for info); presuming you're already at the "have an AARP card", you may have at least another 20-30 years left.
