Hive has a user interface and algorithm problem. You are tossed into an echo chamber the moment you join. Tribel is Occupy Democrats and asks for a weird amount of personal information. I faked all that and it is basically far-left Twitter. Mastodon has a federated timeline that scrolls so fast as to be useless, and also has an impersonation and moderation problem. Abuse on all of them is amlost completely unchecked.

I am not sure what their appeal is when this place is here.

HAPPENING NOW: Jury has reached a verdict on *some* counts against Jan. 6 defendant Riley Williams, 22, who joined the mob that ransacked Nancy Pelosi’s office. They’re still deadlocked on some however.

Partial verdict to come soon but deliberations will continue.
