Sometimes, news comes through and I just want to stop.
The heaviness and the awareness of suffering are nearly paralyzing.
Tonight, it was Russian bombs being launched in Ukraine. Tomorrow, it may be another senseless death.
But the people most closely affected by these atrocities don’t stop. They keep going. So I think of them and after a pause, I regroup and try to do something productive. Maybe something really small and seemingly insignificant.
Gotta keep trying. 😔

On International Woman's Day ... I got news I never wanted to learn, and yet I'm so grateful I now know, so that I can protect that which is dearest to me ... time for me to start being more present in the moment ...
