@mcfate Once ISPs were allowed to sell user information I was under the impression the VPNs were now considered Good Internet Practice.

I do get that given CS's goals, location spoofing via VPN could be an issue, but their info is clearly of two minds.

Why can I sometimes connect to Counter Social via my VPN and sometimes not (I get the banned IP page)? It's NordVPN, and as far as I can tell I'm almost always using a server in the CONUS, if not specifically Dallas, Texas. The basic FAQs seem to say both that "certain" VPNs are blocked and that "all" VPNs are blocked, depending on where you are looking. And there doesn't appear to be a list of prohibited VPNs (countries, yes) but maybe that is my Google-fu being weak.

@Bix Elmo is tanking his car market. Not right away since most people are only vaguely aware of what happens on Twitter, but I would guess Telsa buyers are more tuned in than most people, and he's turning the car into a $40K MAGA hat.

A friend died yesterday. He'd been gone for a couple of years from my POV though. Trumper, COVID denier, Qanon. All the things. He made choices, and I can't consider him a complete victim. But I feel two things: regret at what should have been, and rage at the assholes whose freely spread poison took root in a vulnerable person. I will never forget, nor forgive.

Watched first two eps of Derry Girls. Liked them, but its a bit...something. Does the show evolve and how?

@Austin96 This should come up AND be dealt with before the marrying part happens. And obv I can't speak for all, but in my case we both just adjusted. I learned to talk more, and she learned silence wasn't a sign of something bad.

I know it's probably temporary and based on equipment needs that are being outstripped by the influx of new people, but I *do* find it funny that I get the requests to donate (and I will eventually!) to CoSo and yet the funding bar shows it at >200% for the month.
