I read part of the book but it was even more gruesome than the movie! I couldn’t read it all.
Unfortunately he’s pretty much a jerk: a misogynist and trump-adjacent.
He allegedly said “women can’t direct movies because they aren't stimulated by the visual, like men are” … totally missing the fact that American Psycho was directed Mary Harron. I think it was great as a movie because of her!
