@Damobius as an update, I’m just about done with another new sky camera. I say almost because the gorilla glass phone cover I used looked good, and I had the film-protected side up (so I wouldn’t spill glue or silicon on it) which I’ve now removed and discover it’s got a sticky something on it that I can’t get off. Lesson: film side down, I guess. Anyway I have more arriving next week, so I’ll replace it with something less gunky. Images show my new design enclosure. The block inside on the bottom is glued in place, but 2x sided foam taped to the camera mount so I can remove and fuss with it if need be. The Pi is rubber banded to a little riser I made, just in case water gets in.
Y’all! This is a photo of my usual homemade thin-crust pizza, featuring mushrooms and pepperoni (and anchovies, on Mr. Carolina’s side of the pizza.) I could eat this every night forever, but today I tried something new: cut-up pork from leftover baby back ribs. It was EPIC! I kept everything else the same, but can see swapping out the spaghetti sauce for BBQ sauce in the future.
Conservatives don't really seem to understand the American Revolution. They seem to want to think of it as something like the Russian Revolution–a band of conspirators overthrowing their own government and executing its leaders.
But that's not what happened at all. Washington, Franklin, and Jefferson had no problem with George III being King of Great Britain or Lord North being his Prime Minister. Nor did they have a problem with the colonial legislatures they had elected.+
Finally found and signed a contractor to do a full tear-off and re-roof on the house and connected garage! He and my solar guy are already coordinating so that after the tear off is done, the solar can install and flash his stanchions prior to new roof install to avoid any confusion if there are any warranty issues down the road. The cost is more than I had hoped but less than I had feared, and he's replacing 2 out of code turbine vents and 2 skylights on the patio.

Simone Biles is back. The most decorated gymnast in history, with seven Olympic medals and 25 medals in world championships, will return to competition this weekend for the first time in two years when she takes part in the U.S. Classic, outside of Chicago.

The Magos Odontologis has commended me for good oral hygiene.
Almost no sign of corrosive plaque.
A filing was replaced as well, and the technique of the Magos was superb.
As the oral anesthetic wears off, I shall praise the Omnissiah and bask in the radiance of medical and technological sciences that help our mortal vessels be in top form.
Anyone who's upgraded to fiber optic internet.. I was told they would be doing the outside part first where they connect a box to the house that runs to wherever they have the lines going. Then a tech comes to do the indoor part separately. Our install in scheduled today but we never saw anyone come to do the outside part. Supposedly this is the indoor part. How can they do that without the outdoor part?? #internet #FiberOptic
#FUNFACT - the new column resize feature took exactly 5,762 lines of code to get right. I shit you not. Here's a snippet.
I'm here now. Views are my own. More to come. Maybe I should add some snazzy emojis or something. Cool cool cool.
