Quality over quantity. This is nothing like that other site at all. For some, they're looking for a similar experience. Others just think they can do the same things with the same results.
No algorithm on this site to manipulate. No room for boorish behavior. This is where the grown-ups come to chat. Act the fool, get put at the kids table.
@GFerro1965 1. People don't understand that they're the product being sold everywhere else, or what that means for the rest of their experience online.
2. This place doesn't provide the same emotionally manipulated dopamine response through exploitative algorithms as the other socials.
3. Most people aren't willing to do the work to curate their own social media experience.
4. The big accounts are basically paid to be complicit, and they aren't willing to do the work to migrate. #sadbuttrue
