Black Licorice

@FireMonkey Black licorice is made from the contents of Satan's spittoon.

@FireMonkey I like the part in Willow when Val Kilmur (or however spelled) says it will put hair on your chest. My chest is hairless. I chewed it to quit smoking in my early 20s, now I think it's cursed my chin.

@tippitiwichet
Did you chew licorice root? Or the soft candy? And what the heck did it do to your chin?

@FireMonkey I chewed the root. Actually, it helped me realize that I can get away with anything because I was chewing it at work for a couple of hours and realized not one of the 200 people I worked with blinked at the sight of me gnawing on a stick. The chin was a joke about beard hairs now the menopause fairy is visiting.

@FireMonkey I enjoy both licorice and anise flavoured candy. Most black licorice in the US I've found is made with anise, because it has a stronger flavour.
