Jesus Christ the mutants are trying to normalize pedophelia. Jesus fucking Christ! I despair, but damned if I wonโ€™t fight this mindset tooth and nail!!

@FabulousLVNV What I mean is if the claims were about Roy didling little boys there would be outrage all round.
Little girls it's somehow okay - like they are more virginy and it's somehow commendable to persue little girls. It is sick, sick.
Their is alot of back slapping in Roy's camp because they are all at it.

@cathyshepherd Yes. Thereโ€™s even a double-standard when it comes to that. I hope this sentiment of outrage continues, because itโ€™s been a dark, insidious part of our society for far too long. Enough!

@FabulousLVNV It has to end. Maybe being open will help. Not being ashamed of being the vicitm may help.

@cathyshepherd Yes, and I believe this latest wave of exposure from those who have been abused have helped others to find the courage to tell their stories. The amount of ...Well. No explanation needed, right?

@FabulousLVNV I think it is very uncommon NOT to find a story with women. It is pretty common to find a with men as well but there is so much more stigma associated with it. Children have a right to demand protection from society - so often they are failed.

@cathyshepherd 100% agree. Even with the recent open this to discuss , I think there are a lot more that still are afraid to speak out. A LOT more. I think really we have just begun to peek around the corner of confronting the hard realities, but itโ€™s a great start! Letโ€™s hope it continues!

@FabulousLVNV We are just in the end stages of a Royal Commission into Child abuse. They went through everything, churches, schools, detention centres, sports groups, scouts, the salvos, homeless centres.
It was pretty painful and ugly.

@FabulousLVNV Yep, but an institution that is not policed will gather those that abuse trust.
I forgot to mention that they did nursing homes as well.
There were many suicides and scarred people. These sickos definitely target the most vunerable and therefore the ones most likely to carry the most damage from the abuse.

@cathyshepherd Yep. Always the most vulnerable. Itโ€™s how they exert power. from powerful CEOs all the way down to plain old sick adults that have no other power than to wield it over little kids. ๐Ÿ˜”

@cathyshepherd my story- when I was 6 I was molested by an adult neighbor. He made me promise not to tell. Then I was scared I'd be in trouble for not telling. I had nightmares for years.
When I was 26 I was the surprise witness at his sentencing for molesting several little girls. His defense was that he had dementia and this was "new behavior". I got to look the bastard right in the eye and say "me too". He got the maximum sentence.
My nightmares stopped.

@carmahaz @cathyshepherd you know, looking back it was courageous. My husband who was the only one I'd told wouldn't go to court with me. He didn't want me to embarrass his family.
He's my ex husband now.

@RogueNana @carmahaz If he transfered the stigma onto you then the best place to be is as your ex.
Hell I'm proud of you and I don't know you.

@RogueNana @cathyshepherd @carmahaz Favorited for this line...

"He's my ex husband now."

You are a courageous woman who knows your worth... i give you a standing ovation and a heartfelt hug of support.

@mama_bear_is_mad_as_hell @carmahaz @cathyshepherd @RogueNana guys, yesterday morning I was driving to work thinking about my first job where the owner, an old Greek guy, put his hands all over me and took me out and showed me to his friends and asked them if he should take me back to Greece. When I was back washing dishes later that day, he rubbed against me. I walked home that night and never went back. I was 14.

I'm furious. There's more to this story.

@RogueNana @cathyshepherd @carmahaz @mama_bear_is_mad_as_hell
When I was 12 my parents told me if wanted new clothes for school I had to buy them myself. Not that they couldn't, I had to learn the value of a dollar. My Nana didn't think it was fair so she "hired" me until I was 14 in the summers, working harvest and helping her. She saved me in many ways. However. At 14 I was sent to get the job by my parents.

Footnote: they still don't know. My sister didn't have to get a job til 16.

@Dmbanz @mama_bear_is_mad_as_hell @carmahaz @RogueNana Well that is truly creepy.
Good on you for not putting up with that at 14. Nana knew the lay of the land better than Mum and Dad.
I only told my Dad some things that happened to me when I was a teenager only recently. He had no idea. I resented him for not knowing - even though there was no way he would.
I feel a lot better and we have a better relationship.

@mama_bear_is_mad_as_hell @carmahaz @cathyshepherd @RogueNana I actually stopped speaking too all of quite awhile ago for alot of reasons, this one I'm just now adding to the list. Another one was that my parents just willing married me off to a man that I had known since I was 13 and he was nearly 22 and had openly admitted an attraction to me since that age. We married 2 weeks after my high school graduation with my mother and sister there. I was barely 18 and he was 27.

@Dmbanz @mama_bear_is_mad_as_hell @carmahaz @RogueNana Okay,
you need a break from them - and maybe forever.
I do not hold with trying to make it work just because they are family. Who makes that rule? I want to be around people I consider my friends - be it family or not. I must have been a horrible child - I always had the attitude that my parents did not own me.
Life is never all roses and chocolate cake. But we are adults for sooo long.

@Dmbanz @RogueNana @cathyshepherd @mama_bear_is_mad_as_hell
It takes more than biology to be a parent. And way more than that to even be just a good enough parent. Iโ€™m so sorry..

@carmahaz it's ok, mine just didn't figure out they didn't want until after I was born. I don't want them either, so its mutual.

@mama_bear_is_mad_as_hell @cathyshepherd @RogueNana

@Dmbanz @RogueNana @mama_bear_is_mad_as_hell @carmahaz
Well there is nothing wrong with that. At least you can build a real support network elsewhere.
I don't talk to my mother because she's too hard. My Dad and extended family are great. I have good good friends.

@Merchild choices, choices. You can dwell in life or move past it. I haven't really dwelt in it. Not that it hasn't happened over and over in my profession, but now I know the root.

@mama_bear_is_mad_as_hell @carmahaz @cathyshepherd @RogueNana

@Dmbanz @RogueNana @cathyshepherd @carmahaz @mama_bear_is_mad_as_hell AWH! You were a brave tween too! So proud of you that you walked away instead of putting up with that. Who knows what he could have done next!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Some move to threats & force. Still Resisting!!! ๐Ÿ’— Yes, even if we don't dwell, we must still resist again & again it seems. I had to quit jobs because of that stuff too. At first it's a shock, then you just have to get away! But it costs us unfairly.๐Ÿค—

@RogueNana @cathyshepherd @carmahaz That is sad that your ex had no courage to stand by your courage, but worried more about keeping up appearances for potential gossipers. You deserve unconditional love from your mate that does not abandon you to outside forces of evil, for you to face all that alone. You are so brave, because not even that threat of more loss could stop you from doing what was needed. His loss for sure! You inspire others to never give up! ๐Ÿค—

@RogueNana @cathyshepherd Cathy, that child-raper seems more monster than man. How sad he could hurt a tiny child like that & you were only 6, OMG! ๐Ÿ˜ข I'm so sorry he put nightmares right into your early childhood! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ I'm so glad you survived & were able to help bring justice to this monster who hurt you & other little children! So glad it ended your nightmares too, that you finally got a chance to help stop him forever! Many lives will be spared because of your courage! ๐Ÿค—

@Merchild @RogueNana RogueNana was the gutsy one not me. Thank you for supporting her.
We need to hear more of these stories until we don't if you get what I mean.

@RogueNana @cathyshepherd You are a very brave person. Iโ€™m so sorry that happened to you. It makes my sick to think about what you went through. You are an amazing example for us to follow. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

@cathyshepherd before these recent declarations, I believe fear of retaliation was the main issue. That, and whether an underling would be believed over the more powerful perpetrator.

@FabulousLVNV They voted for a man who has been accused of and linked to a convicted child sex offender.

They will justify anything for their god emperor.

@HaveaCigar What in the hell has been happening in this country the last...how long? Have I been so completely oblivious to this cesspool? Or simply naรฏve in thinking that most Americans would immediately condemn such obvious depravity?

@FabulousLVNV
Baby boomers.

Its a long explanation that gets into the quest to dismantle everything created by the WWII generation, the push for anti-intellectualism to prevent it from being rebuilt by Gen-X and Millennials, destruction of avenues of restoration, all because profits are more important than the advancement of society.

But the short answer is baby boomers don't think others should have the benefits they had and have. Its allowed tribalism to be more important than whats right.

@FabulousLVNV And its fucking stupid because those profits are short term and usually damage a company in the long run far more than they benefited them in the short term.

But Boomers don't understand that, nor do they care. They willfully ignore fact because their short term feel good is more important to them.

Its why the tax cut bill is going to pass and financially ruin this country for the next 10 fucking years.

@J4BB3RW0CK trust me love, you are not alone there! Of all things to normalize. I say, hell no! Anita Hill was the first to really bring this into the modern spotlight back in 1991. Before this, all of those harassed just held it in and not only felt, but predominantly were powerless to say a word. She was the true trailblazer in this entire discussion IMO.
