I feel oddly calm about today. I dunno why. But I've forgotten more than once it's Election Day and I don't feel the need to like, camp out on the couch with MSNBC or CNN or something on to be constantly monitoring shit like I have the last 2 Elections.

Maybe I'll just lose myself in some Sims or CK3 today and let the chips fall where they may.....

Husband came home and informed me of a tree that was down across the driveway! Small. Dead. Not ours, but if we waited for the neighbor to deal with it, it'd never get done. So, chainsaw and gloves we went, to remove said tree in the dark!

Stormy day on deck for my neck of the woods! Happy to have it, happy to sit next to my fire while is rages, happy to have a good book to read while I watch!

Be safe out there!

The anxiety do be anxiety-ing today. No panic attack but boy am I feeling fluttery. Blargh!

Just started reading this. Its a big'un.

I hope it's good.

(My pics always post sideways, no matter how I take them or edit them, always sideways!!! )

A quick Google and there was a button right there to check! Glad they've made it so easy! :D

I know there is a way to check and see if your ballot has been collected, but I don't know how to check...?

Ballot boxes were attacked here in WA and Oregon the other day, and now I am a little worried. I just dropped it yesterday, so I am sure it hasn't been picked up YET, but I'd like to keep checking until it does.

Just dropped off my ballot!

It's a little embarrassing to admit but at 42 years old, this is the first time I've ever voted. I never felt like I needed to before, or that my vote actually mattered. I do not feel that way now.

I think I have recovered from people-ing too hard on Saturday. Only took 48 hours and my husband staying home with me today. lol I've errands to run tomorrow, so it's nice to have my brain back to it's standard operating procedures.

My FIL also asked if I wanted any psychedelic mushrooms...lol I told my SIL "Your Dad keeps offering me drugs." She said "Yeah, welcome to the club." Lmao I really do love my in-laws!

A day of in-bedness for this one. I peopled too hard yesterday, then hardly slept last night, so a day of lazy was all I could manage.

Did figure out we are not hosting Thanksgiving this year, so *phew* big weight off my shoulders! (I was willing to, I just always take on more than necessary lol) Next year though, it's all us.

I peopled today. I peopled with people I love and enjoy being around. I am exhausted. Lol Head hurts, body aches. This is what happens every time I people too hard.

I get to see my Niece and Nephew today, so OF COURSE, I had to run out and buy them gifts!

They each get 2 outfits, 2 coloring books, a box of crayons, a board game and a soft fuzzy blanket that GLOWS IN THE DARK! :D

Oh shit, the fish game needs batteries! Gotta get those before we go......

6:30am and Walmart STILL doesn't have enough registers open....smh

Tomorrow I am making an Apple Crumble and a Blueberry Crumble to take to a family Chili Feed (and contest).

Chili can only be done so many ways, so I volunteered to bring dessert, rather than bend over backwards trying to find a unique Chili recipe. 😜

Winner get a trophy and an apron with their name on it, proclaiming them Chili Champ. lol SIL put all this together, so it should be fun!

The knuckles on the back of my right hand, have been aching and sore going on 3 days now.

My hands don't like gripping things for long periods of time, and I've been on a building binge in Conan Exiles (video game), so it's a bit angry from all the mouse holding and clicking. You'd think I had a death grip on the mouse, with the way my hand hurts, but no.

*sigh* Hot damn, I love aging! lol

Tuesday, so that means a pot shop run for my carts and a quick stop for cat food.

Then hopefully I have the energy to give the kitchen a good scrub today. Fingers crossed, yes? :)

I hope everyone has the day they deserve!

I bought 9 books last Sunday. I've read 3 of them this week.

This is why the library and Kindle Unlimited are my BFFs. Actually purchasing books is a treat! lol

My brain isn't functions on all its neurons, or whatever, today and I made chicken tortilla soup for dinner.......but I forgot to add the chicken.

🙄 😂

We dropped daughters car off on Friday, for what was going to be $1,500 in repairs.....

We are picking it up today with what ended up being $2,800 worth of repairs.

Still not as much as we had originally expected, but almost double what we were originally quoted, cause they found more stuff wrong with it. Blargh! Life is expensive!
