Making "Swiss steak" (sorta, it's a recipe of my Ma's) and mashed taters for dinner tonight! It's been in the oven since about 3pm and my house smells goooooood! #Dinner

Got home from running errands and Mogwai had peed on the floor. Frustrating, cause she has the dog door, but whatever, so I clean it up.

Put things away, sat down to eat a sammich and what does she do? Toddles on out the dog door to go pee. No command, no prompting. She just did it on her own.

Whhhhyyyyyy didn't she do that when I was gone?! We are definitely making progress, but she seems to think she can only use the dog door if I'm there? Dogs, man.... #Dogs #CosoDogs

One week from today, is the kids' first day of school. It's the LAST first day of school, for my middle child. His sister has one more year after this. Hard to believe those lil babus are now damn near adults. Where did it go?! #Kids #BackToSchool

Just linked my robot vacuum, to my Google Assistant, so now, all I gotta do is say "Hey, Google! Start vacuum!" And BAM! Vacuuming gets done!

Replaced all the light fixtures on the first floor. Did not take into account all the new lightbulbs I'd have to buy. The things you do not think about when doin a heckin remodel. #Remodel

Mogwai has gone out the dog door, TWICE, on her own, without being prompted.....but turned around and came right back in, without going potty....lol Not sure why she went out in the first place! It's progress though! #Dogs

I keep adding to it, so its my fault. Now, I want to spiffy up the garage doors and have hubbs build a lil pergola above each one...lol I need to stay off Pinterest. #Remodel

We are almost done with Phase 1 of the remodel. Install the rest of the lighting (10 fixtures), install the pellet stove/chimney/vent, then it's just little things like puttying nail holes in trim. Oh, and I want to paint the front door.

Phase 2 will be next Spring/Summer and that involves ripping out the deck, pouring a concrete patio and building an awning over said patio.

Stood outside the dog door last night, called "Mogwai! Treat!" and she came through it no problem. 😕 Her refusal to use it, on her own, is simply stubbornness I think. She's old too, so I think that plays a factor. I just wish she'd recognize when she has to potty, and use the dang dog door! *sigh* At least Tormund uses it..... #Dogs #DogsofCoso

I really don't know what to do about Mogwai's refusal to use the dog door. If I put her OUT, she has NO issues using it to come IN. But she will NOT use it to go out when she needs to potty, so we are still cleaning up her messes.

When she signals that she needs to go out, I make her use the dog door. I have to push her through it though, she doesn't go willingly. *sigh* #CosoDogs #Dogs

Mt Rainier is looking pretty naked these days....😕 I'd give up lowland snowfall this winter, if it meant the mountains get hammered. (And I LOVE snow. I'm Lorelai Gilmore when it comes to snow. It's like catnip to me! lol) #PNW #wawx

Dining room is emptied and the carpet and pad are ripped out! Treating the subfloors with urine remover (Clorox Urine Remover is an AMAZING product if anyone needs a good one), letting it dry, then it's Kilz 3 time! Tomorrow, Hubbs will lay the floors, then we are D O N E with flooring! (Unless I win my stairs/hallway war lol)

I really dislike Joann's shipping. They want $11.95 to ship 5 balls of yarn, that'll take 2+ weeks to get here.

I ordered a microwave from Best Buy yesterday.....It showed up today, and shipping was free. 😐

Feeling like poop, cause I haven't eaten enough today. Don't have the energy to cook dinner, cause I haven't eaten enough today. lol Frick!!

Went and spent $150 on cast iron furnace floor registers. One won't fit in one of the bathrooms cause the tile isn't cut right. Husband is now cutting said tile, so it'll fit.

True love, right there, ladies and gents. ❤️ He really has done a lot with this remodel, specifically to make me happy. Have I gotten EVERYTHING I've wanted? No. Have I gotten everything I've wanted thats reasonable? Yes.

Still haven't won the "laminate on stairs" war though....🤔 lol #Remodel #IHateDIY
