This was my Uncle Stan, and my Mom, Stan was my Moms brother.
When I was 4 years old Stan came to live with my family.
My Mom found out that my grandmother was trying to beat the Gay out of Stan, and was sending him to a mental hospital to try to cure him of being Gay.
When Stan was 14 years old, he came to live with us in Seattle, I was 4 years old at the time.
Stan and I were very close, and because of that, the Gay community in Seattle was my family.
@VelvetDuchess thinking Garden of the Gods is going to be a part of our next Western U.S. road trip.

For the very few of you that joined here expecting viral posts and a list of what’s trending, I understand your disappointment.
Counter Social is listed in many sources as “best alternative to Twitter”. Those authors praised the authenticity & safety of CoSo.
It might have been better if they’d described CounterSocial as the opposite of Twitter.
You loved Twitter, I sympathize. It’s burning down.
It’s ok if #CoSo isn’t for you.
@remiforce_mils101 You'll see that here from time to time too, usually a server error when first accessing the site. Jester et al are trying to keep up and doing a bang-up job, but there's a LOT of new traffic thanks to Lone Skum's antics.
@BugsnYogi I grew up nextdoor to a seven-toed cat. Beautiful, friendly animal who never sank into the snow.
