Aside from being a not-too-shit movie adaptation, the Wing Commander games are fantastic and the collection is currently on sale at GOG. I'm in two minds whether to get them as I've heard the 3DO versions are better. #retrogaming

@DadeMurphy Annoyingly even though I buy my phones outright, unlocked, it still prevents some pre-installed apps from being removed - have to buy the Pixel for 'pure' Android. Samsung is the worst offender by far for bloatware. I use AdGuard to block FB and other unwanteds. I could remove / offload some of the ones that came with the iPad.

@DadeMurphy Android is becoming just as walled. I love my Sony phone, would not consider any other brand, but I avoid using Google's services because they either screw with them or shut them down; by default you're led to Drive and Google cloud storage, even the default photo and file manage is now Google.

Sony are the last refuge for me - headphone jack, SD card slot, no front camera hole or notch, but it also won't let me uninstall apps that came with the phone like Facebook 😠
