- Bollocks penalty for Alondo.
- Hope Carlos shows up Charles the rest of the season.
- If Perez is still in that RB next year I'll eat Chicken & Mushroom Pot Noodle.
- Weird to have the Japan GP next.

@Clavius_42

Agree with all that.

Do you think Danny Ric has lost his mojo?

@bluesbaby He's not been the same since McLaren. Definitely not the confident driver who showed up Seb, and toughest teammate Max ever had.

I do wonder if it's the new regs; he's been off the boil since, similar to Webber was with blown defuser and Kimi was with brake-by-wire. I remember Damon Hill hated and couldn't get to grips with the feel of grooved tyres.

Conversely, I refuse to believe Lewis has suddenly lost his mojo.

@Clavius_42

Thanks for that insight. I think this is a good theory. He never should have left RB.

A agree that Lewis still has it and Ferrari will benefit.

@bluesbaby @Clavius_42 Afraid so. I like Danny, but he hasn't shown why he should have a seat over Lawson. There are a few drivers that should probably move on, to be honest.

RUMINT

New Zealand Herald: "The Herald understands Ricciardo has been given an ultimatum by Red Bull’s head of driver development, Dr Helmut Marko, a known admirer of Lawson’s.

Should Ricciardo fail to improve over the next two Grand Prix in Japan and China respectively, Red Bull will perform a swap that sees Lawson likely installed in the Racing Bulls seat for Miami and remain with the team for the rest of the season."

@bluesbaby @Clavius_42 Marko is the destroyer of any mojo that a driver might have left. Title notwithstanding, he doesn't actually develop anyone - either they're immediately successful or he craps on them until they break. Of all the characters in , I think he's the one I dislike most.

@DrFaustus @Clavius_42

It sure seems like all his power comes from his relationship with both Max and Jos Verstappen.

@bluesbaby @DrFaustus Bar Adrian Newey, I'm not fond of anyone at RBR to be honest, but Helmut is particularly vile.

@Clavius_42 @bluesbaby I agree that Newey seems entirely decent. I've gone back and forth on Horner - first I thought he was insufferably smug, then it seemed to me like he was just trolling, and now with the new revelations...ugh.
