I think I'm going to need to watch the #Picard finale alone. Sentimental Fool.
Practice good self-care. Part of that is learning to let go of what we can't do anything about. Not easy, but always worth it. Live in the moment.

You know the saying 'nothing dies on the internet'? Well, being ninetys nostalgic about listening to Radio 1's Essential Mix in my old mates basement, after several bottles of K Cider and an eighth of squidgy black, I did a web search to see if the saying is true.
Guess who just finished uploading every Radio 1 Essential Mix from 1993-1997, in 192bit mp3, to Google Drive? 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
@DBlackwell77 Jesus must've been well pissed. 😄
@holon42 @lifeinthePNW I was part raised in Guyana, in a Hindu community. The colour and celebrations of those, then returning to Wales to dreary, endless, guilt tripping sermons in cold, dusty churches, was the catalyst to my becoming atheist.
@Clavius_42 The incorporation of pagan symbols into Christianity is one of the greatest — if not THE greatest — marketing takeovers ever.
@lifeinthePNW That's so true. Even Steve Jobs never achieved that level of reinventing the wheel and selling it as invention.
The cross on the hot cross bun symbolises the four seasons and four phases of the moon. #easter
@Tether Yeah! 😂 Jack Daniels are inclusive too.
...Oh, and happy other stolen Pagan festival.
TL;DR
All the fun things about Easter are pagan. Bunnies are from the pagan festival of Eostre, a goddess whose symbol was a rabbit or hare. Exchange of eggs is an ancient custom. Hot cross buns are ancient too. The early church clergy tried to put a stop to sacred cakes being baked at Easter. In the end, in the face of defiant cake-baking pagan women, they gave up and blessed the cake instead.
