@AnneK I've sometimes thought how different my mindset would be, had I been diagnosed younger. Diabetes also makes you stronger, she'll grow up to be a badass. 💪🤘

November 14th is World Diabetes Day.
I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on the 16th January 2009; I had just turned 30 years old.

As with many chronic conditions it meant sudden life changes; a different outlook. Diabetes management is an additional full-time job, 24/7, 365.

There are highs and lows; it's almost constantly 'there', monopolising thoughts, decisions, plans. Diabetes can take its toll on mental health.

@Jedicat I'll look that one up. I first bought Death Wish in 2015 ish, and it did the trick for night shifts! It was my gateway to upping my filter coffee game. 😄 All of a sudden the price skyrocketed and I stopped buying it. On this occasion it was 20% off, which still cost me £30. If it was half the price I'd say its worth it (it's a clean taste for such a strong bean - not bitter), but I've played the field since then. My regular goto is Hot Lava Java; it's £4,49 and packs a good punch.

Got nostalgic and bought some 'Death Wish Coffee: Valhala Java Odinforce Blend'.

If I'm totally honest, I've paid much less for better tasting since then. It's not shit coffee by any means, but it's not worth the asking price here in the UK, compared to widely available blends like 'Hot Lava Java'.

Been setting up my tablet for #emulation and decided to try a frontend launcher called Daijisho. It's really good for a freebie; it supports just about every android RetroArch core and Emulator.

For my needs though, it a) can't view gaming systems as a grid/list, only games in a system, b) doesn't merge multiple .bin files in a game folder.

I've used LaunchBox, DIGG, and Reset Collection on my phone. Reset is still my go-to; customised with icons/banners from the LaunchBox forums.
