A zero sum game has exactly two players with exactly two outcomes: win or lose. Think chess, checkers, tic tac toe, paper rock scissors, and flipping a coin.
But it's a trap to think of life this way. We succeed in life when we cooperate. Some competition is healthy but too much is destructive.

We are all leaving this world. It's a given. We have free will and choice on how to treat others and ourself. Indeed, it is the only thing we can control. Ourselves. And when you consider how difficult that is, you realize trying to control anyone is folly.

Most of us would do well to just work on ourselves. I know for me that's true.

If we can't control ourselves then who can? My answer to that question is God. If we have an internal motivation to be better than we are, where did that come from? Again, my answer is God.
You have basically made the Christian argument that humans are in need of a Savior. Do not neglect these important questions in your life.
