It reminds me of my first girlfriend when I was a kid. Her father was a commercial director and I was over at their house to watch Return of the Jedi. He was working on a regional Subway commercial in the kitchen and just frying bacon to get a few perfect slices. So we ate probably a kg of bacon over the course of the movie as he kept bringing us “the losers” that didn’t look nice haha.

‘The X-Files’ monsters ranked worst to best, in celebration of Tooms coming out of hibernation after 30 years

As a big fan of this series, it’s fun to look back at the “monsters” in the series. I’d argue that you have to at least mention Nick Chinlund’s Donnie Pfaster, who started as one of the show’s creepiest killers and was later retconned as a demon. 🤷♂️ 1-4 on the list are pretty unassailable, imo.

Willie Nelson - Whiskey River (Live From Austin City Limits, 1981)
Next in the series of songs/artists you wouldn't think I dig...but I absolutely love.
My folks were hard into Willie and the rest of the Outlaw country scene when I was growing up and we spent many an hour listening to those 8-tracks. Plus, Willie is a hell of a guitar player.
I’m going to go ahead and use this as a microblog right now because I’ve got no real sleep and full day ahead of me: ultimately, the zombie Imperial fleet in Star Wars was terrific, definitely should have been the plot from the beginning, but those first two movies are so mismatched I think it’s going to be an Indiana Jones where one is Spectacular, one is watchable just for the milieu and actors, and one is just forgotten.
Thinking about my family because I can’t sleep again. I want to go to Finland someday, see the city my grandpa was from, and the village my grandma was from. The thing is that this is a *desire*, but both of them were perfectly Euro Canadian and never really even let on that they missed it. My grandpa made his perfect Finnish life in Alberta. As an adult I realize Grandma was happier later haha
@XaoslordErie I’m going to say this and boost it myself after: the absolute dumbest idiot I know is antivaxx. The number of dumb, pathetic, sad things that have happened to this guy would bring down anybody…but he’s a profoundly dumb guy and seems to ?revel? in it. THAT guy distrusts vaccines.
"Responsible gun owners" are unicorns, in my book.
I would like to point out for all the Robert Anton Wilson fans on the site and for all the liberal shills who DON’T believe in “Conspiracy Theories”: when the vast majority of them get uncovered, they’re just criminal cases and madness. This George Santos thing was a Conspiracy concocted by a dozen people, sloppy, and it got uncovered. Their plan was to have an EVEN MORE pliant vote than A LADY WHO PROBABLY PLANTED TWO PIPEBOMBS.
Anyways, Heavy Metal music is actually the longest lasting “Pop” genre ever. Look it up. Rock N Roll is here to stay, it’s our favourite, and someone will paint a bunch more murder paintings and some of those will be considered the greatest things ever devised, just like metal and punk, and just like I hope the tastes of my naggy coworker are too. It’s a whole world, gang /end
This thing is with art is that it’s done with intention. There is good and bad art, Pop Music is done as art as well. What we must do as auditors is champion ideals of art, interrogate and criticize art, we must separate art from non-art and say so. The part that is subjective about art is when we critically disagree about content, not whether or not it IS. 6/
