@sazemisery sometimes, we’re working and I throw something out in the kitchen and expound “the trash smells delicious”
@ayankdownunder he was fantastically enthusiastic but kind of got murdered at the company via the Peter Principle…you are really good at your existing job, so they promote you until you’re bad at it. Last I saw him he was moving back to the Philippines to get married and I hope he’s happy and healthy forever.
@ayankdownunder later on, he tried roasting his own coffee beans and he’d earnestly hand you these cups of black coffee and say “this is Burundi summer berry mixed with Columbia summit old growth” or some such thing and it would be the worst cup of coffee you ever had, but he was such a stand up positive guy overall.
@ayankdownunder I’m reminded of the nicest, most inept line cook I ever had, who was some kind of weird Ultra Mormon, and he would make us all sourdough starters which he’d give Mormon-y names to as personal gestures and we’d all neglect them and they’d died in the fridges of the restaurant.
I don’t really like superhero movies for the most part because I like comic books. I finally watched The Batman…le sigh. It’s a really good movie and I like it fine except that it contains no ninjitsu & takes so much from FOUR of the ALL TIMER BATMAN PLOTS, I’m not gonna see a live action version of those (with ninjitsu) until I’m an old man. #cosomovies #cosocomics
@damianreloaded why would that be necessary? The two tensions are that we’re using a lot of electricity globally to power bullshit anyways, so cutting that down would just generally be better for all types of electricity generation. The other problem is that there is no way burying a 100,000 square miles is going to be good for anything. The cost is going to be eaten up in smaller, local projects like doing every mall or parkade, which don’t lend themselves to turnkey solutions worldwide.
@The_USA_Singers there goes the Israeli lobby cash…
@TheComicHunter I blocked it and the tag. I remember when people would sit around and find it so hilarious to just ask Siri dumb questions all night. Gag
@damianreloaded meanwhile, all of those AI chat bots previously turned super racist almost immediately.
@MotherDucker @Alfred I prefer the, Oxport Comma

@KodoAndSangha I have two. Are you really far away? Is it theoretically possible for me to mail you one of these and it won’t cost a fortune?
@DMArt55555 and the other thing in the same situation was that 3 of the largest, oldest, institutional nightclubs closed down or moved locations too around that time, as well as the company that owned all the stripclubs. There weren’t any strippers for about 8 months, which triggered a different social conversation at the time.
