@ToriLRidgewood so even if they’re still pretty spry and pretty connected, it’s time to start saying that they cannot do all the things that they used to do. Period. The thing of it is that society has changed: if there is a giant problem in a storm, sorry Boomer, nobody is coming really. If someone does come, Heaven forbid they get injured or stuck, there are no outcomes where that doesn’t cost thousands. Get them to really read what their car insurance says, or even better: get them to call!

@PastDaily I read this recently from some British historian which was really fascinating is that it does appear that our gendered roles towards “gotta get it” have actually changed in Europe and the Eurosphere from women to men only relatively recently. Like the 18th century.
Hey let’s do a little analysis too #cosomusic: so one of the reasons I like this song is because it seems like it’s one of Type O/Carnivore’s satiric tunes, pop culture references, spooky guitar/synth sounds, etc. but ultimately the grief is real - “loving you was like loving the dead”. If you go back to the start, it’s about a bad relationship with a self-important person, which is pretty relatable. Very good.
