@ucantstop_me well we should have more trains anyways, but I find that pretty amazing. Always something to learn.

@The_USA_Singers Amazon is the largest publisher of white supremacist and neonazi literature of all time.

@RankButDontFile this was a recurring thing on Twitter which made me seriously upset: of the characters on King of the Hill, only Peggy & Khan would go Maga. Let’s hope Boomhauer quit the force before the reboot though…that was one of the best reveals on TV though haha

I’m also thinking about a Twitter all-timer I wrote which didn’t get enough love: “All my ancestors were animists except for like 40 people. Who is more right about God?”

Not going to sleep really tonight, still thinking about my family. In a sense, the reason I exist is because of the direct events of WWII. Same with a lot of you. Operation Market Garden. It has a date and everything. Wouldn’t be here unless that happened.

@Anarchaeologist I see that, of course. One thing that bugs the shit out of me about neoliberalism is though I don’t think we’re actually going to foment a socialist Revolution at this point, alarmingly even facing down the end goal of not the neoliberals themselves but their controllers in rising fascism, but the middle level has to twig in at some point that a feral population of people with no money isn’t going to be good for the economy.

@Big_Bull_47 it’s wild to me that both capitalists and communists though neolocality was a good idea, even though it’s probably destroying our society.

@WaevetSmaevets so I don’t really mind that sort of thing, like monster violence or war violence. I watched the Walking Dead up to Terminus and then after that I couldn’t do it because I just could no longer support the character’s bad choices haha

@doktorseven hmmm…I’m cautious about certain kinds of things because I don’t like watching extremely violent things in general, but I’ve heard nothing but good things. However! If it’s just zombies are around, people make bad choices, I’ll skip if there isn’t something else there.

@WaevetSmaevets question: I don’t play video games, but I like TV. Is it very violent? I don’t like to watch things that are extremely violent.

I’m having trouble sleeping and I’m thinking about my family. My great grandmother had 14 children who all lived, my Nanna was the youngest child and I actually met Granny because she lived with my grandparents until the home. There are about 200 of us grandchildren and great grandchildren. Granny had a big calendar and sent birthday cards almost every day. One of my relatives is/was famous person in film in LA, and I like the idea she received a Canadian $2 bill for her birthday just like me.

@beer there is a bar in Toronto which I’m not going to name, but their beer list is absolutely impenetrable most of the time. It’s 18 taps of stuff that seem like production mistakes. Now I’m also going to tell you this: I don’t do little tasters of beer, I just order a full glass. One of my greatest joys going out is having that 1st sip, saying “this sucks”, drinking it all, and trying something else. But I find a helluva a lot more red flags not worth trying since 2020 it seems.

@LarsTheWanderer hey, I don’t play video games, but I do like some good TV: is it very violent? I don’t like things with tons and tons of violence.

@etakeh my friends make fun of me when I’m on a politics tear, but I genuinely and absolutely believe that there are a lot people making important decisions about our society that are full on secret Nazis with swastikas and the whole thing. It’s not like it’s even changing much, barely mutated at all, all of these policies and ideas are barely NEOnazi

May you never be the reason why someone who loves to sing doesn’t anymore. Or why someone who always spoke about their dreams so wildly is now silent about them. May you never be the reason why someone gives up on a part of themselves. Kindness is a superpower.

@beer probably not. I feel like, perhaps, we’ve been a tad too accepting and the craft is sort of losing its way. Point: I had a lager or something and their selling point was celery seeds, and it tasted like hotdog water because obviously. Counterpoint: I had a dipa with guava and mandarin that my friend said was the worst shit he ever tasted and I loved it. Point though: that beer is not available any longer.

@Anarchaeologist I have recently come up against this politically with my good friend which is “what’s actually bad about the CCCP and China?” Perhaps I’m not exercising all my rights as heavily as I could, a lot of what’s been “taken” from me is the result of capitalists buying the legal and political systems around us all, but maybe it’s really okay in the sense of regular ass people living a normal ass life?

@TheCard remember this all timer from Robert Anton Wilson though referring to the I Ching: the opposite of all good advice is also good advice.

@TheCard I used to too. The thing is that they’re pretty good if you’re kind of aimless because it gives you a random suggestion about what you can consider for the day. It’s 365 pieces of random advice.
