@rpardee I understand where your worries are coming from. I think Harris will be the grown-up in the room. He'll be muted while she speaks, but he won't be able to stop the intrusive thoughts that burst through his lips when he has the chance to talk.

She will appear very controlled and professional in comparison.

Dems will laud her ability to make a succinct point. MAGA will complain she is too uppity and a bitch.

Can't say I'm looking forward to the after debate when MAGA switches their commentary from Kamala Harris: being dumb and sleeping her way to the top to.. Kamala Harris: angry Black woman.. when she refuses to let Trump, cut her off, bully her, or intimidate her by standing too close in that super creepy way of his.

But I do want her to take him down!

@Ms420 I do the deep breaths, but I also find something with an interesting shape in the room (or outside) and trace it with my eyes over and over. If it is too easy a shape, you'll go to fast, but if you think something like a Kandinsky painting or 3D outline of a chair or the leaves of a plant or picture on a calendar.. it will take some effort to control the tracing and not veer off into a spiral.

@th3j35t3r He's rattled and I am loving every minute of it.

Just out of curiosity.. does anyone remember Henrietta Hippo?

My brain takes some weird turns at times. 🤣

@djmpb The Harris campaign not only got permission to use every single song (even those played by DJ Cassidy during the Roll Call), they paid the fees for the right to use them. Just a little example of the difference of integrity between the two campaigns.

It's been amazing to watch. Even as I sit alone in my living room, I find myself laughing, smiling, and clapping. A wonderful and joyous change from the usual snarky comments I make when you know who is being featured on TV.

Dear Google calendar.. as I am the one who makes the entries into my own calendar, please stop sending me email messages inviting me to the event. I already know!!! 😂

@ATXJane Thanks! The test line on the second test was darker than the first and darker than the control line. But I am just denying any bad meaning to that. LOL

Other than getting tired, I feel pretty good.

Paxlovid is expensive w/o insurance ($1750 vs $25).
But if you can get it is worth it. Despite the bad aftertaste (it's rapidly going away after the last dose), it does minimize most symptoms.

I still test positive and with the low fever I still need to isolate. But I would rather do that than get someone else ill who can't fight it off.

Please be careful. This variant is rapidly spreading.

Covid update..

It's been one week since the onset of symptoms, 6 days since testing positive, and I finished the paxlovid this morning.

My temp reached 100.5 (my normal is 97.5) and that lingered a few days. All cold symptoms were gone except for a dry cough since day 3. Yesterday I thought I was feeling better with no fever and went to the lake to sit outside and read. Came home an hour later and slept for 3 hours. Woke up to another low fever.

If you are dead to me, the first step I take to removing you from my life is deleting your city from my weather app. 🤭

It's a real thing..

Why vote for Kamala Harris instead of Donald Trump?

Profound explanation..

@ucantstop_me I was reading a few things but I have no way of knowing if it's true despite the person claiming receipts.

I don't like to think the worst of people but I think of Barron's parents and his dead eyes and can't help but imagine he'd have a tortured mind.
