The ADL’s research has determined that over a billion people in the world harbor antisemitic attitudes, and the war in Gaza has stoked that bigotry, the group says.
That's a lot of hate.
Teach your children love and acceptance.
Talk to your family and friends when you hear disparaging comments. Educate them while telling them their bigotry will not be tolerated.
We live in a time when we like to imagine how progressive (understanding and accepting) we have become in our ways regarding racism and bigotry.. but I assure you., as a whole society, we have not.
There are proponents of fear and rage who like to instigate unlawful acts. There are real victims.
Maybe now is not the time to call for an end to the second amendment.
2/2
I have always thought we should have tighter gun control, but never have I thought we should outright abolish the second amendment.
Do I think that some people live in a perpetual state of conspiracy theory and paranoia? Yes.
But do some people have very real reasons to fear for their personal safety and their lives? Also yes.

@Render
The depth of your knowledge and expertise with the tools under your belt to accurately and expeditiously report these ongoing events truly is something to marvel at.
You mentioned the other day about "being born to do this". Indeed you were. I would also suspect there are those who have used your knowledge to ensure their own personal safety as they can.
I do know that we here are very fortunate to have you among us. You're also in my thoughts every single day.
Thank you Ren.
@just3nanalysis Whoop! Whoop! Fantastic!
@Render I'm sorry I haven't been here to be more supportive. My own life has taken turns these past 18 months and the twists keep coming. But none of that should have prevented me from openly standing with you and #Israel in this latest battle for survival.
You know I adore you like a big brother. Please know you are so much more than a source of news to the people here.. you are an amazing human.
I am a better person for knowing you.
@phase2 I'm not here all that often as I pursue a year of self-reflection and healing, but when I am here there are a few I take time to look for and you and @Render are included. You know how I feel about you and the many many contributions you have made to this place.
I have had worries that this sanctuary would be disturbed as more people came in. But I tried to offset my worries with the reality of J's goals.
I wish you would only take a break. But I also know how valuable peace is. 💟
So I finally took a gander over on #TruthSocial to check out Biden's page & OMG he's eviscerating #trump 😂😂
I'm surprised by the engagement and likes, tbh
To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic.
...this gives us the energy to act, and at least the possibility of sending this spinning top of a world in a different direction.
And if we do act, in however small a way, we don’t have to wait for some grand utopian future. The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.

@Armchaircouch Thank you! It's my halloween costume to scare people. 🤣
@Armchaircouch I thought he was referring to men. LOL
@catlynne333 It's almost as if Trump doesn't realize he could choose to run a positive campaign without belittling or harassing anyone. 🙄
@h2oaddicted The blue circles are polish pottery and can be expensive. Don't just toss it.
Today I was thinking about working on love.
Work + Love
No, not sex work! Working on relationships, romantic or otherwise.
Do we get better at love with effort? 🤔
When I was young, people used to tell me "Relationships are hard work!" and in my overly confident manner I said "No they're not! They're easy!" And I didn't understand these people talking about what drudgery it was to be in love. ⁉️
Well. Love is more universal than romantic love.
The work comes in in a much more prosaic way.
What's so funny 'bout peace, love, and understanding?
