If it isn't clear yet, the biggest threat from terrorism in Canada, if not the whole of the Western World, has rapidly become White Nationalism. It's the bigots, people!
Ignoring this only makes them more dangerous. My biggest regret is that we don't have life without the possibility of parole for a sentence. This monster must never see life outside bars again.

@YesThatStevenGrant Yup, I saw it. Convicted Felon Steve Bannon (who got convicted of grifting donated funds for the border wall and was pardoned by TFG) was hosting a session. Jack Posobiec said they tried to overthrow democracy on Jan 6th, and will continue to do so, to replace it with a threocratic dictatorship. Think the Taliban. That's who they are.

the US is "a glaring exception among wealthy countries" on nearly every metric, because we're the only wealthy country that lets the wealthy decide how to run the country. we're the only wealthy country that has decided the not-wealthy are fodder for the meat grinder of unfettered capitalism, that has been systematically destroying the social safety net & the entire social contract so that billionaires can fill another wine cellar with $100,000 bottles of wine.

@NorthernInvader @ITKV OH, I'm not forgetting Harper in the slightest. He had 2 minority gov'ts that kept his megalomania in check and allowed him to lull the Canadian electorate into thinking he wasnt a fascist in drag. 1 majority was all that was needed to keep GOP North out of power for a decade. Sadly, Canadian voters have relatively short memories and we're foolishly contemplating giving them the reins of power again. The stakes are higher this time. Democracy is in real danger.
