just talked to my 13-yo son about Andrew Tate. apparently he's really popular in the young teen demographic. twitch, tiktok, insta, and youtube tho he's been banned from most of those now.
CobraTate, or Top G, & his brother, Tristan.
my son has heard of Top G, but doesn't really follow him on Twitch. so i told him what he had done, and we had a good talk about people online promoting real toxic ideas.
parents, talk to your kids. seriously. they are targets.

i saw a cat in the local rona store & i was a little shocked.
the rona was run down, a little on the grungy side, not the most inviting place. more like a contractors' contractor store, ya know?
but the peeps were super friendly & helped me w/ a tiny order.
treating your smallest customers as if they mattered & they have a store cat?
it's my new fave hardware store in town. 😊
I heard a great quote today this morning against where we could be headed the quote comes from Plato "they have ceased to wear their prosperity in moderation"
Speaking as a United States citizen I feel like this is true for a lot of modern-day cultures. A great thing to ponder on this beautiful day.
From Rep. Katie Porter:
"In a win for consumers, Wells Fargo is being forced to pay $3.7 billion to settle allegations by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau that it mismanaged various types of loans and accounts. The allegations range from surprise overdraft fees to illegally repossessing cars.
For years Wells Fargo has used deceptive practices to scam families, and Katie has used her voice in congressional hearings to hold them accountable and reveal some of their shadiest practices. "
"practice taking apart a minor but culturally influential community and develop techniques to do it again, more efficiently, more quickly, with less attention. To lay out a reliable pathway to commit harm and lie about it for so long and in so many ways that by the time the truth is available, it doesn’t matter, because the harm is a foundational part of the system we’re living in. The harm is the new status quo."

#political It's telling that they are totally writing off the youth vote. It makes you wonder about '24.
@Museek China is in deep trouble right now. the lockdowns were used instead of focusing on vaccination, now they've eased up and with all the unvaccinated, the virus is out of control. if this doesn't show the world of antivaxxers what they're risking, nothing will.

here is a thought. If one thinks that whatever happens in Ukraine has nothing to do with their country (no matter which one), I'd like them to think about another thing - Ukraine had zero conflicts with Iran. ever. moreover, we had some progress in peaceful collaboration. yet, Iran is a key ally of our main enemy right now.
No man is an island.

And also you didn't understand the part where masking prevents spread to other people considering that people can carry and not have symptoms.
currently processing grief over the passing of my mom, and the slow death rattle of America.
This will cause unprovoked snarky comments (finally, an excuse!)
