From Rep. Raúl Grijalva, AZ CD7:
"As a progressive leader in Congress, I'm proud to work with Justice Democrats to advance environmental justice, Medicare for All, a $15/hour living wage, free college, and to make sure Wall Street and the billionaire class pay their fair share.
Justice Democrats is the only organization in the progressive arena that actually recruits candidates to run for office and helps their campaigns every single step of the way."
This is why I support them & not the DNC!

When Wilma Rudolph Played Basketball is a book about the childhood of Wilma Rudolph, a legendary sprinter who won three gold medals at the 1960 Olympic games in Rome. The book, which is 32 pages long, is geared toward readers in elementary school.
This book, among others, has been targeted for removal. The reason? Supposed ‘race baiting’ as seen by a supporter of the new ‘anti-woke’ laws in Florida.

From Rep. Katie Porter:
"Competition is central to capitalism. Without competition, prices go up, wages drop, & innovation stalls.
The meat & poultry industry exemplifies what happens when competition decreases. Just 4 companies control 85% of the beef industry. While we’ve all seen rising meat prices, large meat companies have reported rapidly growing record profits.
Capitalism needs guardrails for a strong, stable, globally competitive economy that supports workers & families."
Now that I have some time and some free access to the kitchen table.. I took newer pictures of some of my creations and can start updating the shop. #crafty #StarvingArtist #GalaxyQuest
Neoliberalism’s Impact on Social Movements
Commenters like to think that “neoliberalism” is something made up by Bernie supporters, it is worth noting. First, neoliberalism is real and it fundamentally means the privatization of public goods. But neoliberalism is more than just handing Bolivian water services over to a profit-making Bechtel. It’s also the ways in which the deification of the private has infected our society generally.

#news Steep climb in teens targeted by online "sextortion"
"At least 3,000 children, mostly teenage boys, have been victims of the schemes that are connected to more than a dozen suicides this year. Many think they are chatting online with kids around their own age but are quickly manipulated into sending explicit pictures and then blackmailed for money with threats to release the images, the FBI said. Just used my tip money to help buy some pork fried rice and a couple sodas for a disabled man who came in and had forgot his money. He couldn't believe it. Please, do a kindness when you can. I don't have a pot to piss in. That man and I aren't that far off, but it meant everything to him, and in turn, me. Readjusted my hangry attitude, too.

This will cause unprovoked snarky comments (finally, an excuse!)
