Last night my puppy was climbing on the couch with me and stabbed me on the knee with one of his toenails. It wasn't that big of a deal, but later on I noticed I had blood all down my leg and foot! When I cleaned all the blood off, I found it all came from a tiny little scratch on my knee, just a pinprick really.

So this is it. As of midnight tonight, I can't eat any solid food for 36 hours.

The idea that a brush with death can magically transform for the better the character of someone who has never previously shown the slightest tendency toward any form of good is a malignant fiction. Characters can change, but it takes hard work and only happens overnight in fantasies, particularly those on screen where everything has to happen in fifteen minutes.
In real life, Hitler nearly got blown up and came out of it even more vengeful and hateful than before.

Trump during his RNC speech made false claims about foreign insane asylums, Medicare, inflation, the capital of Venezuela, military equipment in Afghanistan, murders in El Salvador and jobs in America. The factcheckers at PolitiFact released a report that found Trump's address included 17 serious lies about policies and strategies. Trump's only true comment have been about his own ear. PolitiFact noted they did not check every statement Trump made during his rambling 93-minute speech
I'm certain of it.
The fake tan, the architectural wonder that is his hair, all the showbizzy falsity that creates the illusion of youth and vitality. That's why some folks think Biden's too old, but Loser45 is just fine.
Normally, I'd say who cares? After all, in a situation where you're tired, making a critical speech, and it's been a loooong day/week/life, you blurt out stupid mistakes. You get names and words wrong, but you really know who and what they are.
But......................
This is exactly the sort of thing people - including Dems who should know better - are saying disqualifies Biden.
The double standard, backed up by nothing I can see other than a fake tan - is appalling.
Trump says the candidates he endorsed are "doing great" and cites Dr Oz, whom he endorsed in 2022 and who lost. Then he promotes his running mate, "JP, um, JD Mandel"
