If you are the richest person in your town and there is poverty and homelessness in your town you should feel ashamed.

My editor is amazing and we have a great working relationship. She is supportive but challenges me and I really feel like she understands my voice. On my most recent story, All Manner of Beast & Man, she wanted me to add the word “fucking” to a line of inner monologue. It was the right call and definitely the way I would have written it, it was just funny seeing the word handwritten onto my manuscript in editing notation.

So I am still a little perplexed as to how my latest book ended up on Barnes and Nobles’s website. Self publishing through Amazon does offer “extended distribution” to other retailers but that isn’t a guarantee. Doing a bit of research suggests that you have to make a marketing proposal to B&N, which I didn’t do. It seems like this was a deliberate choice by someone as none of my other #books are on there. Either way, it is pretty cool! Feeling really good about this.

@LadyZurk haha yeah sometimes a cheap drip is all you need. I have a French press but I have never used it to make coffee surprisingly. When I’m feeling fancy I fire up my Cona siphon coffee maker.

@mcfate that is wild. I have never heard of making chopsticks as an artistic outlet. Can you share pics? Do you follow patterns for the pop ups or do you design them yourself?

Hey #caffeineclub! I recently got a hand coffee grinder and a cold brew infuser. Lately I have been drinking three different styles of coffee every day. Cold brew, mokka and drip. I may just be enjoying my new toys and this won’t be a permanent change, but for now it has been fun. How many styles of coffee do you drink every day?
