My editor is amazing and we have a great working relationship. She is supportive but challenges me and I really feel like she understands my voice. On my most recent story, All Manner of Beast & Man, she wanted me to add the word “fucking” to a line of inner monologue. It was the right call and definitely the way I would have written it, it was just funny seeing the word handwritten onto my manuscript in editing notation.
