I took a nap, and now I'm ready to get organized for the week. And possibly the month. I'm very excited and might even break out my washi tape!

@ToriLRidgewood Right? And that would fit with the video game theme of: you have to EARN that good ending. 😂

While I was driving, I got this idea for writing a book that has alternate endings, and thus, alternate editions. It came to me while I was thinking about how my book would make a great video game. And video games have alternate endings all the time.

I might write both of these versions just for the sake of seeing which I like more. I could surprise myself greatly. And that gives me some motivation to get back to writing.

I'm so tired. Yesterday was a full day at the amusement park, and my body is exhausted. We'll see how I decide to fill my time today.

@disk4mat Yup! It's always "I should read MORE!" I just tend to bite off more than I can chew and get excited. But that's the nice thing about the library. You can do that without having to worry about wasting money. If they don't get read? Oh well! I'll try again another time.

@Rickbflony Yeah, though I do like having at least one book on my phone for when I can't sleep. Then I don't have to turn on a light and wake someone else up. I know it's bad to look at a screen, but I'm not doom scrolling on social media, so...it counts for something right?

@WARFARE61 I've got that too. I need to have a mix of formats for when my eyes get sore from the screen.

You know how there's that word for hoarding books? I definitely have that problem. I just picked up 6 epic length novels from the library. Just because. That's my summer goal. Get through them.

Did more editing. I think that's going to be how I spend my weekend. I'm in a reading mood. Come Monday, I should feel ready to write again.

This not having any commitments during the day is...so...bizarre feeling. I feel like I'm doing something wrong.

WHAT I NEED:

- I verbally process story ideas. So need to be able to actually chat.
- I don't care if we write the same genre, but be willing to help with mine. Some of my best writing critiques come from outside my POV.
- Fairly regular meetings. Once a week, or twice a month. Could even swing once a month, but that might not be enough.
- I'm deeply attached to my ideas. Poop on them too much and I'll retreat. 🤷‍♀️Be kind.

Let's talk if you're interested.

END 2/2

Someone on the bird app was talking about how they needed a writing group that actually worked for them. It really resonated with me, because I am in search of that kind of a group as well.

But I'm picky . I've been hurt too many times in the past by well intentioned creative persons.

If you fit the following, then let's talk? Continued... 1/?

Things I'd like to do today:

- Write
- Edit
- Game
- Read
- Go for a walk

Things I have to do today:

- Laundry
- Declutter
- Garden
- Take the kids to karate

We'll see how this goes.

@JGNWYRK I'll take it! I've got all day free, so if I do get tired enough, I'll nap in the afternoon.

@JGNWYRK Eh, I'm not having a bad day. Just wish I could sleep a little more, lol.

It's my first day off in a while, and I slept in until 6:30. Go figure. But! On the plus side, the house is really quiet, so I'm going to make my tea and some breakfast and go from there!

I didn't even edit yesterday. I'm okay with this. It was a really stressful evening. Kids were all amped since they were done with school. Petty fights abounded. If today follows the same pattern, those boys will be having a very sad, sad summer.

Well, we all made it through the school day in one piece.
