S2: Day 169 (534)
Word Count: 291
Total: 51177

I did not do a lot of anything writing yesterday. For the rest of the weekend, I'm going to shift gears into editing because that's where my brain is at while I sort through a few plot bumps.

Somehow, I did a solid amount of editing today. I'm not going to have a hot date with my PS5.

I'm struggling to stay focused today, so I'm going to write out my agenda, set my timers, and pomodoro method the day!

Word Count: 1189
Total: 50886

Yesterday felt good. It also felt like I pushed myself almost to my limit, so it was good to test that and see where my boundaries were. All in all, I'm very pleased with how the day went.

S2: Day 167 (532)
Word Count: 892
Total: 49697

Words came a lot easier yesterday. I'm taking this as a good sign. I still need to outline. Staying focused has been hard, though.

My goal for the week was to work 6 days and do 250 words a day. So far, this seems to be perfect. Next week, I think I'm going to update that daily goal. 400? 500? I'm undecided. 300 seems to be where I end every day so far, so I kind of want to stretch myself, but not TOO much.

How it's Going:

- Take oldest to golf. ✔️
- Write 250 on EPIC. ✔️
- Write 250 on Lab. ✔️
- Write 250 on Touched. ✔️
- Update Wattpad. ✔️
- Hit 10k steps.
- 20 minute walk.
- Watch Ms. Marvel.
- Watch Obi-Wan. ✔️
- Read. ✔️
- Text for school.

@Rickbflony So much of that is small stuff that'll take maybe 10 minutes. I think my longest commitments are watching TV. 😂

Let's make a list!

To-Do:

- Take oldest to golf.
- Write 250 on EPIC.
- Write 250 on Lab.
- Write 250 on Touched.
- Update Wattpad.
- Hit 10k steps.
- 20 minute walk.
- Watch Ms. Marvel.
- Watch Obi-Wan.
- Read.
- Text for school.

I think I'm missing stuff, but we'll start here.

S2: Day 166 (531)
Word Count: 855

Yesterday I thought a lot less about writing and just did it. Seemed to go pretty well. I think I need some kind of an outline set up, though because I've forgotten a lot of what I planned for one of my projects. Oops?

Okay self, it's time to try and get some words out.

S2: Day 165 (530)
Word Count: 813

Yesterday was hard. Certain projects, the words just flowed out. A couple of them? Not so much. I poked at three different ones just to see where the ideas were at. Oddly enough, the penguin character my kids came up with is the one I'm most excited to write about. We'll see how today goes.

Just took the kids to the library for our first ever brainstorming session in the conference room. They loved it! They can't wait to come back and do it again.

They helped me come up with my cast of characters, and now there is going to be a 7ft tall anthropomorphic penguin in my fantasy Big Brother television show.

I upgraded my Playstation account and now I only want to play games all day today. Oops.

Word Count: 0
Total: 47137

Took my day off. Didn't do as much reading as I thought I would, but I still chilled for the bulk of the day and it was lovely.

Today, I have some minor goals I'd like to achieve creatively. Going to focus on them for the next couple of hours and see how many I can check off of my "to-do list".

S2: Day 163 (528)
Word Count: 321
Total: 47137

Made a small dent and it felt very nice.

Today I'm taking the day off for resting.

I need to remember to walk before I run.

Right now, I want to write ALL the words. But if I go too fast, I'm going to burn out again. I spent years pushing unrealistic productivity levels on myself, and now I'm paying that price.

I have to create a new normal for myself, not cling to one that worked for a 10-years-younger version of myself.

Okay, I think I'm organized enough to get something done. Time to edit and write. Going to use this creative energy.

Other things that happened during nap:

- I smoothed out a few more of my plot lines for my WIP.

- I came up with two random unrelated book ideas that are in two different genres.
