I had to look it up, I donโ€™t think Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands and a couple others, Guam? Actually hold electoral votes. And if thatโ€™s so itโ€™s nice that they let them participate like this

and then question, yโ€™all, some of these folks are saying all the votes, but what does that mean for the RNC? What did their people say, none of the vote? How is it โ€œall of the votesโ€?

@Armchaircouch
Each party has their own delegates. They have nothing to do with the other party's nominations. The RNC and the DNC vote among themselves to our forth their picks, and then the nation voted.

@Armchaircouch

These are Democratic National Committee delegate votes, not related to electoral college which in general are linked to actual election votes. This is to get on that official ballot and qualify for party campaign money.

@Armchaircouch

some states haven't given all their votes...some states have said "we cast X votes present/absent and Y votes for Kamala"

So does that mean that for the states that had any left were announced at the RNC? @opie

@Armchaircouch @opie No those are the Candidates home States they always go last. Theyโ€™re up now.

@Armchaircouch

no...the DNC and RNC are completely separate ballots/delegates/nominations...these votes are the results of the Democratic primaries...

@Armchaircouch @opie

Only Dems cast Dem delegate votes, and Repubs cast Repub delegate votes.

@opie @Armchaircouch

I've been wondering about those present and absent votes. And maybe I heard 1 abstention?
