I'm seeing everywhere today that women should leave #Texas. I've been saying that, in song, since August.
US/UK/Can Conservatives: Trans is a mental illness.
Medical Professionals: No, it's really not.
Cons: We think so, therefore we're going to pass laws against it and slow down treatments.
MP: You're hurting them.
Cons: Nope, mental illness, we're sure.
<Time Passes. Trans people kill themselves>
Cons: SEE! THERE'S THE PROOF!
So as an Xmas present I got a gift certificate for Omaha Steaks. I bought a variety box that was all kinds of different things including apple tartlets, filet mignon, hot dogs, chicken breasts, pork chops and burgers.
We started with the filets, which were awesome, but everything since then has been disappointing. Not bad, but just ordinary. I mean, the tarts were good but nothing else stood out.
We made the burgers tonight. These were FUCKING DELICIOUS!
Okay, so they do beef well.
New Album - Blog #1
So I've had a full album worked out in my head for several years now. I've made changes along the way, but the basic structure has always held. I designed the cover art ages ago, and all the songs are written and arranged. I've even released a couple of those songs as singles.
But I haven't actually finished the fucking album. There are some songs that the only proof they exist is that I wrote down the lyrics on a piece of paper.

Japan can't catch a break so far this year, can they?
JAL Aircraft with 379 people crashes into a Coast Guard plane on it's way to join the relief efforts after yesterday's earthquakes.
All 379 made it safely off the plane. 5 of the 6 crew on the Coast Guard plane were killed.

As per usual, my blog version will be up later.
People appear to be shocked... SHOCKED I tells ya... that Green Day would do this.
They're a freakin' anti-establishment post punk band people. Of course they'd do this, and it wasn't the first time.
The song of which I'm most proud that I put out this year is "Ordinary Life", which is pinned to my profile. The video for it is fantastic, so please check it out.
But for my last post (I hope) of 2023 I present to you the cover I did of Nick Lowe's "I Love the Sound of Breaking Glass", so very seriously reimagined that it has nothing in common with the original song, save the lyrics.
Let's not have a repeat of the 2020 Election. This all sucked.
Happy New Year. Soon. Really. Time waits for no one.
I suppose that this year is summed up by this song more than any other. At least for me. I even won an award for it, which is both exhilirating and dissappointing becuase a) I won a freakin' award! and b) I don't think it's my best song for the year.
Nevertheless, here it is. "Woke AF (minus F)"
In January of this year I made my first ever attempt at writing dance music, and it turned out to be one of my biggest songs so far in my career. I wrote it for the group "World Order" but I released it myself insteadl. That's why the video is full of dancing robots.
To all the #Republicans, #GOP, and #RINOs out there:
If you want to get all triggered about your guy getting taken off a SECOND state's ballot, maybe next time don't follow such an OBVIOUS CRIMINAL.
I've met him, and I wouldn't trust him with a penny I found on the sidewalk.
Despite rather ambitious plans the death of my computer led to me only releasing 5 songs in 2023. I collected 4 of them on my most recent EP, but this one I left out.
I never had a video commissioned, so all you get is the cover of the single, which is seriously tweaked AI art.
This simple instrumental was inspired by the true story of Astiyazh Haghighi and Amir Mohammad Ahmadi. I kind of hate that the public zeitgeist has already forgotten them.
1/5 - #2 tomorrow.
As a parent of a person who had to go through a "minor" school shooting (no one died, 4 injured and only 1 seriously) may I just say, "FUCK YOU."
"Sorry" isn't good enough. FIX IT.
