@Graci I think you have made a gross generalization about conservatives in your statement above.
There are elements of conservatives who think this but many do not share these views. Unfortunately it is the stupid comments that find themselves in the echo chamber and not the rational voices of the others.
In the same vein I don't group all trans people together, nor should you group all conservatives collectively. Many of these people are cautious about supporting such things due to their fear
