My dad was a veteran. He hated it, start to finish. But he learned how to fly (which would both serve him later in life and get him in trouble) and became an expert on Psychological Warfare.

The government attempted to stop-loss him back into service three times because of that expertise, including for the first gulf war, when he was in his 50's and dying from the effects of being stationed at Camp Lejune.

He was a Republican, and he would have hated what we've become.

I had an added stresser going on this week that I had shared with no one on line - my wife and I put in a bid on a house, and backed it up with an escrow account.

We've been saving up for 30 years for this, and figured now was the time.

And the seller decided to sell it to one of his golf buddies. After delaying a meeting yesterday to finalize the sale he texted me this morning.
