For the second week in a row, a new song I like featuring the concept of the tale of Daedalus. This week it's from the band Motorpsycho.
Tomorrow at 9am and again at 9pm Pacific Standard Time at Radio Free California we will be playing the new album by Dream Wife called "Social Lubrication" in it's entirety.
Did my first recording and mixing since my old computer crashed on May 23rd.
New sound card is much more sensitive than I'm used to, but it's all right.
Back to work. I was supposed to have an EP out this month.
As Promised, here is the blog version of Radio Free California Episode 2324, complete with cheap shots and NSFW language. Enjoy!

Here it is my friends, Radio Free California Episode 2324. Great week for new music starting with Dua Lipa, Ukraine's Death Pill, Dream Wife, Greta Van Fleet, Extreme, Leo, Death Valley Girls, Envy of None (featuring Alex Lifeson of Rush), Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, King Krule, Death Valley Girls and much more. Enjoy!
As per usual, my blog version will be up later and you can always find these tunes and much more at my private radio station.
I am a champion of new music, but every once and a while you have to remember that there were artists like the late great Dobie Gray.
"So high... you got me movin'...
Rock Me Baby & Roll Me Away..."
Here it is, Radio Free California Episode 2323! What a week for new music! This week we feature Foo Fighters, The Alarm, Cowboy Junkies, Extreme, lovelytheband, Comet Gain, Sakamato Maaya, Motion Sickness, Rancid and much much more! Enjoy!
All songs added to the Radio Free California Radio Station/App, and as per usual my blog version will be up later, along with thoughts about the future of twitter and a fair number of cheap shots.
Aaaaand Peter Gabriel drops another song.
Dennis Hartley, who writes at digby's blog, has put out his top 20 Summertime songs.
I submit to you number 21 for that list, from 1981.
I have sampled a performance of an Octobasse.
I will use it in a song. That low E just shakes ones bones.
Making my radio station's playing of a full album uninterrupted a regular feature. What new album should I play next week?
Sparks - The Girl is Crying in Her Latte
The Damned - Darkadelic
The Ocean - Holocene
Or something else?
Quick reminder: Tomorrow on Radio Free California we will be playing Paul Simon's new album "Seven Psalms" in its entirety, uninterrupted, at 9am and again at 9pm PST.
It's kind of wild to look at the stats where you music gets streamed. I'm an American artist living in the USA, who has also lived in Canada and Japan (briefly), and the countries that stream my music most are:
Germany
France
Singapore
Australia
Austria
Czech Republic
Denmark
Lithuania
and then finally the US.
Chile rounds out the top 10.
Not indicative of anything, but I do find it interesting. I've only ever been to one of those countries, and I live there.
Wow. The fighters of the Foo say goodbye to a friend.
As promised, here is the blog version of Radio Free California Episode 2322. Also some programming notes for the radio station version, including the news that we're going to play Paul Simon's new album in its entirety this Thursday.
Enjoy!
