With a bit of luck I'll be putting the finishing touches on the EP tonight. Hopefully with an August release date.

Taking a break from vocal work. More than an hour of singing and I freely admit that singing is not my strongest musical skill.

Letting the vocal chords recover before tackling the next bit.

That said, I can't wait for people to hear this one. It's been a LOT of work and I'm really happy with the work. It's a better song than the little ditty I'm dropping on Monday.

And my last post of the day - A quick reminder that tomorrow we will play the album "I Want It All Right Now" by the band GROUPLOVE. That will be on July 13 at 9am and again at 9pm PST. The album is so good that I had a hard time limiting myself to only a couple of songs for the playlist. I hope you tune in!

All that's left is to finish the vocals...

And one of my neighbors has decided to run some kind of pump and yes, of course, my microphone set-up (which is studio grade) picks it up.

Vocals another night.

Really happy with the guitar solo though.

I am presently in what is likely the only place in all of North America that is cold. Everyplace else is just burning up.

Seems a good time for this:

I have a social media friend named "Yi" who performs originals but in the style of vocal jazz standards. This is her latest, and she had a video put together using AI. For once it works, and you should check it out. Great song, striking visuals and its worth your time.

Yeah, I can see it now
The distant red neon shivered in the heat
I was feeling like a stranger in a strange land
You know, where people play games with the night
God, it was too hot to sleep
I followed the sound of a jukebox coming from up the levee
All of a sudden, I could hear somebody whistling from right behind me

I have an Australian friend named Moule who is a techno artist. WE have worked together (I played guitar on a track he released a couple years ago). This is his new single. Released too late for this week's RFC, but it will be on next week's.
