Authoritarian dictators think nothing of threatening the world order to get their own way, and over the next 4 years, no one will be doing this more often than Trump, Vance, Musk and RFK Jr..

Gavin Newsom is working to "Trump-proof" California against a second Trump presidency. Every blue state governor should be doing this.

The road to Gilead. Alas, some people will just go along for the sake of their own security, greed and/or need for power. The rest of us need to resist as best we can.

Guessing that:
1. Drumph doesn’t make it to 2028
2. Vance is way more incompetent
3. Unless GOP changes senate rules, they will never have 2/3 majority
4. Dead sisters/wives/daughters, raise in suicides by LGTBQ+, inflation/recession/depression? will at some point be issues
5. History tells us that this shit never ends well

Women's fashions for the next generation are really going to suck.

We actually live in a world where nobody really has any authority over any other person or their decisions.

We can take actions and react, and other people can, too.

We can choose to believe in rules or laws, or we can flout them.

Someone can _force_ another person into a position or mislead them or threaten them.

But it's actually a free-for-all.

We _can_ however, _agree_ and promise to behave a certain way towards one another, and then _keep that promise_.

Learn to use your free will.

I understand that some people might find me a Debbie Downer at this time, but I think I'm actually giving the *hopeful* scenario. I am, after all, assuming that there still will be a country here in four years.

Several people have asked me how to support/protect libraries in the coming four years. Here's how, straight from a librarian: danialexis.net/2024/11/09/here
