@muskrat_john Pretty much the feeling as I watch my DM try to salvage tonight's weekly session as we disengage from DnDBeyond.

@Maude Ahhh, the "Baghdad Bob" approach. Always a classic.

@HunterRose Interesting! But I feel obliged to point out that original recipe RIFTS is still out there: palladiumbooks.com/

That ad campaign in Britain wasn't that successful for the Church of the but I still say black and white was the way to go.

@HunterRose I'd like to play RIFTS again, but there seems to be no appetite for it.

@miserable_day As I understand it, MST3K was more centered in Eden Prairie, which was a bit of a distance away from Hopkins. On the other hand, the MST3K fan club used a Hopkins address, so there is a connection. So... maybe?

@miserable_day In Hopkins, MN there used to be a place called the Village Inn. It was another pizza place, but half of it was also a constantly running movie theater. I saw the original Captain Marvel serial there. It was my favorite place.

@miserable_day The Shakey's I went to had a big organ and a guy who would play it. I loved getting there in time for the show.

Playing now: Bioshock 2, Remastered.

Funny, when the Big Daddy wasn't me, they seemed to be better armored.

@LiberalLibrarian My cynical side says that it's part of the effort to unseat McCarthy.

@JailTheTrumps My problem wasn't with the characterization. Hemsworth's Thor has definitely blossomed over the years. My issue was with the tone and general story construction.

Finally watched Thor: Love and Thunder. Hoo boy. It felt like they were trying to recapture that Ragnarok feeling, but Ragnarok let the jokes grow organically from the plot, not letting them take the forefront.

In T:LaT, the jokes feel forced, especially considering how Jane figures into the story. The third act was strong, but alas, to get to it, once must get through acts one and two.

My favorite Christmas song, about a parent seeing the day anew through the eyes of their child.

Abney Park - Through Your Eyes on Christmas Eve

Genesis was my first encounter with . Imagine knowing nothing of the show, and your first impression being a closeup of Davros screaming "EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!"

@cjcrew I used to drive a delivery truck for a baker. I believe it.
