I don't understand.
The first report I saw of gunfire near MaL had it that two people were shooting *at each other* and not only was it not aimed at TFG, but here was nowhere in the vicinity.
Now *everyone* is talking as if there was another assassination attempt. Are we *really* falling for that shit here? Or did I miss something?
@stueytheround Doesnt matter to me- i dont vote based on assassination attempts- you vote based on policy of the candidate
@AkomoCombine but why are cosonauts sharing disinfo?
@stueytheround No idea
@AkomoCombine Even @th3j35t3r is doing it. Was there an assassination attempt or not, J?
Dude I have no idea. What I do know is for all the guns floating around this place, its seems to me nobody can shoot straight. Or in some cases, even get into a stable firing position.
@th3j35t3r So please stop talking as though he was shot at. People listen to you and believe you. Yet we don't know. Nobody does.

Whether it is or is not what the media is running with at the moment, the thing that bothers me the most are all of the people here joking about it, just like the earlier incident in PA.
I'm all for a good laugh, but to me joking about assassination attempts minimizes their seriousness, and the people making the jokes definitely wouldn't be singing the same tune if it was an attempt on the person they support.
@evistre @stueytheround @th3j35t3r @AkomoCombine
And even if you think the jokes are no big deal, consider that the more we normalize and sensationalize the violence the more chances there are to inspire copycats. School shootings, for an obvious example.
The media has a lot to blame for this kind of thing; they've been profiting off sensationalizing violence for many years. But we don't need to help them.

Agreed there. Not a fan of the jokes.
