Grout repair results. I think I do not terribly for it being my first time. Obviously I chose too light a color, but there were only two of this grout to choose from that were in the wheelhouse, and some reviewers had indicated that it dries darker. I didn't really care about matching anyway.

Most of the places where it looks like I have grout on the tiles are scratches from scraping out the old stuff. I will never do that by hand again!

Also I'm aware that caulking is traditionally used at changes of plane to allow for movement, but the builder grouted everything and I'm trying to save money. So instead of spending $15 on the quart of premixed epoxy grout and then another $15 on mold resistant silicone caulk, I just did the grout everywhere. Hopefully it holds up.

seen a shower where the tiles were touching each other (no gap for grout, for real :facepalm: ) without any silicon at all.

took a while before it failed (like 8-10yrs iirc) 😆
