Inside the Industry That Unmasks People at Scale

All I can say now, after reading this, is...
WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO TELL US THE CHIP IS ALREADY IN US?
@0x56 @Madken65 @voltronic Am I the only one who wouldn't mind being chipped? If I go missing, I want to be found. Maybe I listen to too many podcasts about women who go missing.
@Jennifelroy
That all depends on who finds you.
@voltronic @0x56 @Madken65 I guess, but I worry more about why one might be missing. Like what if your in a dungeon being told to put the lotion on.
Let me get a cigarette, DO go on...
@Madken65 @voltronic @0x56 I understand it's important to protect your data from theft and all. But so far as being microchpped like my dog, I would volunteer. I'm not saying everyone should have to, but I would. If I'm ever not where I'm supposed to be, I want to be found.
@voltronic @0x56 @Madken65 *you're

This makes me wonder what really important people or at risk people -- or criminals, do.
Seems like this isn't a huge worry for the average consumer, even if it should be. But I wonder how more high-risk people can cope with this current fact of life. If they're not being tracked, others around them are. I guess they just don't use smartphones or apps at all. Which seems inconvenient. GPS lady is my BFF.
I don't know how to solve this, but people do love their phones.
I think Sen. Wyden should be equally concerned about US orgs collecting this data.
'Senator Wyden's statement added "I have serious concerns that Americans’ personal data is available to foreign governments that could use it to harm U.S. national security. That’s why I’ve proposed strong consumer privacy legislation, and a bill to prevent companies based in unfriendly foreign nations from purchasing Americans’ personal data."'
