Ashli Babbitt's family files $30 million lawsuit over Jan. 6 shooting death
In the lawsuit, Babbitt's family claimed that she was unarmed and had her hands in the air when she was shot once by Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd.
However, in August of 2021, an internal investigation determined Byrd acted within dept policy and further found that his actions had "potentially saved members and staff from serious injury and possible death."

That one line: "Ashli posed no threat to anyone" seems deeply flawed given the circumstances. π

And now we find out why her momma has been at all these trials "correcting the record" (spinning the truth).
@nursefrombirth This should get thrown out of court at Mach 1. THERE'S FUCKING VIDEO OF THE MOMENT SHE GOT SHOT. Not only did she not have her hands up, she was actively trying to get past the barricaded door.
I've said it dozens of times since that day, but Babbitt got what every other insurrectionist should've received that day; a bullet in the head.
@ProjectShadow Not argument from me. Everyone who breeched the Capitol was asking for whatever they got. The ones who weren't killed should be thankful that they didn't get the same, the punishment they wanted and deserved. They were willing to DIE for Agent Orange and Ashli did, by her own choice.
@nursefrombirth @ProjectShadow That's what I'm thinking. I don't feel compelled to rewatch a snuff video again but as I remember it she was actively climbing through the window of a barricaded door. If her hands has been up she'd have not been in position to get shot
