How about a national database of all gun owners? All guns have to be registered, right? Use the gun registry & convert it into a database of gun owners & publish it so we know who is carrying.
I never said it was, but 2A gun nuts that want a scapegoat are going to point to MH and kick and scream so let's disarm that talking point.
Work on MH, and when the violence still happens, we can say "See? It IS the prevalence of guns and the conflation of guns with "masculinity" in gun culture that's driving it. Now, we're adding laws and we don't want to hear a peep about MH from you guys".
