@feloneouscat @Heucuva8 @CommonSenseGent @MommaJ @Render you know what would mostly solve gun violence? living wages, steady predictable working hours with plenty of time for hobbies or whatever, access to education, health care, food & shelter. it is SO much harder to stir up grievances when everyone's needs are being met.
I never said it was, but 2A gun nuts that want a scapegoat are going to point to MH and kick and scream so let's disarm that talking point.
Work on MH, and when the violence still happens, we can say "See? It IS the prevalence of guns and the conflation of guns with "masculinity" in gun culture that's driving it. Now, we're adding laws and we don't want to hear a peep about MH from you guys".
