@evamarie lol na to dam cold
And in reality its mostly something scots don't actually wear - unless there is a wedding or special event - its mostly a tourists thing these days
I have wore a few in the years myself though
@janallmac @evamarie @ecksmc They come in modern textile alternatives these days.
Kilts are bare gowns that don't need anything underneath them, not even underwear. We can state that every style of Scottish kilt comes with a ventilation system. The primary advantage of wearing an "open dress" is that it never causes sweating or itching. That said If you find your kilt itchy, try wearing a pair of bike shorts underneath. It's mostly on the thigh fronts that people get itchy
As a Scot, if its your own kilt that no one else will wear, go commando ๐ always
@janallmac Oddly not. But there's a *reason* for no underwear. They're *very* warm. Even in winter. @evamarie @ecksmc
@stueytheround @janallmac @evamarie
Exactly
@stueytheround @janallmac @evamarie
Well on most days that is a kilt can keep you warm enough
That said Scottish wind can be a pain in the arse and very draughty
@ecksmc That's what a good, *heavy* sporran is for ๐คฃ๐คฃ @janallmac @evamarie
@stueytheround @janallmac @evamarie
๐๐ yeah ๐ but a Bruised cock isn't a good look either ๐ฌ๐ณ
@ecksmc Ooh! Ouch! @janallmac @evamarie
@stueytheround @janallmac @evamarie ๐
Like i said only for weddings and special occasions - short term only ๐
@ecksmc @stueytheround @janallmac @evamarie maybe it's pain in the arse for those who are wearing it...for others it's quite.... entertaining ๐คญ
@stueytheround @evamarie @ecksmc
Interesting! I live in a hot climate and do not own a single, solitary wool garment. I didn't know.
@janallmac think of Pacific Sarongs and it's variations, it meets a similar niche using local resources.
@stueytheround @janallmac @evamarie @ecksmc I think it was @tyghebright that introduced us to the #kilt coaches on YouTube
@evamarie i am joining ... @ecksmc
