What book have you tried to read several times, but given up on for one reason or another -- and you still intend to give it another try?
Several...
But the one that first comes to mind is.
Infinite Jest
by David Foster Wallace
1,000+ pages, the alternate timeline, the more than two hundred characters.
That's the one I was going to name.
@corlin @estherschindler
I've read it, but I'm not sure *what* I read. I'm not sure what I took away from it. Just... one death bothered me so much that I don't think I would try to read it again, knowing it's in there somewhere.
Sharon Kay Penman’s “King’s Ransom” a 665 page epic historical fiction about Richard the Lionhearted is a book I can’t seem to finish. I generally love her books, but this one puts me to sleep.
@estherschindler finnegan's wake
@estherschindler The Shining
Christopher Hitchens - God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything
his writing style is...dense...
@estherschindler - 3 Musketeers. Dumas has always eluded me.
