Got invited out to aunt’s house to help trim back basil, kale, banana peppers, onions, zucchini, and cucumber AKA “please come take some, we have too much”. A great opportunity to ask her what we should do about my dad since she’s his little sister.
I wasn’t so sure about the sage & walnut pesto recipe because I’ve never heard of using sage this way but it turned out SO very delicious!
Here’s the recipe: https://www.thefoodblog.net/wprm_print/6768
@annamuneca, I can smell this picture! 🥰
@annamuneca
Sage and walnut pesto? I am intrigued. 😋
@TomeReader I admit I was really hesitant to make it but I did and WOW that is a keeper!
yum.
i'm making some parsley and garlic pesto to have with noodles, yogurt, and parmesan.
Yummo x3
Medium rare please
@annamuneca has your aunt given you any advice regarding your father, or will that be another visit?
@Mauve_matelot essentially she said she’d pray for us and that she might give him a call. Back when the pandemic started I had asked her to talk to him about not going out all the time because he wouldn’t listen to us kids & he listened to her.
I know he’d feel better if his needs were better met and I think an assisted living would really be good for them socially & health-wise.
Thanks for this update @annamuneca, I hope things improve for your family and that things improve soon
I got so much stuff!! I’m gonna be busy in the kitchen!
Parsley, sage, beets, apples, onions, cucumber, zucchini, green beans, bell peppers, banana peppers, jalapeño peppers, kale, tomatoes of various sizes, and basil
