Anyone has a solution how can you put pics on without them being posted sideways instead of up and down vertical
Or just take the photo in landscape mode, like God intended. 👍
^^ this toot changed my life.

He's the Boss. He can say stuff like that ;)
Can and does but also, it was helpful so there’s that! :) @ceorl
@Armchaircouch I try not to judge, but then I see someone taking a photo with their phone upright and...
😂😂 Sometimes even i slip! 😭 i am but a hooman
out of the whole debacle, though I only had to edit two photos (at least, for horizontal purposes!) now its a matter of - do I Flip it to the left or flip it to the right because one is correct and the other one ends up upside down and I’m not sure which yet 😂 @kel
@Armchaircouch I've been the designer who was asked to make a portrait picture fit a landscape layout more times than I can count. 😆
oh god
i know your struggles. from my own work, as well as from my business partner, who doesn’t understand why certain photos just don’t work in a certain layout I’m like look, ok let me just show you…
them, who have no aesthetic eye and get it but still want it ugly but also want to play along: “OOOOhhh ok I see”… @kel
@Armchaircouch Right? Lol.
My favorite was the photographer with the huge blonde curls who wanted her headshot to span the top of the page.
She gave me a portrait of herself standing at a distance in front of a tree. 🙃
😂😂😂😂😂 @kel
@Armchaircouch I remember trying to find a picture of large blonde lazy curls to back-fill the background.
I decided that she's a photographer and that she could probably take a more suitable picture, right about the time I was looking a page full of yaks. 🙃
😂😂😂 just all HAIR SLSKKSKSSS @kel
@th3j35t3r I see phase's toot as an example :(
@th3j35t3r - don't be SO angry
🤣🤣🤣🏴☠️🤣🤣🤣
@th3j35t3r @ceorl @annacgenx74 also, Live Photos on a iPhone will make them upload sideways. You have to turn the Live Photo mode off the photo. So create a duplicate of the phone and turn Live Photo off so you don’t lose the original copy.
@th3j35t3r I just turn my head sideways. @ceorl @annacgenx74

I have a friend who takes her shots diagonally.
@ceorl we probably couldn't be friends. I'd wind up with a kink in my neck. 😂 @th3j35t3r @annacgenx74
@AnnetteTRemain @th3j35t3r @annacgenx74
Me too.
And portait mode makes me feel like I am voyeuring from inside a closet,
and it's not as fun as it sounds. ;)

Last Supper, the youtube shorts version.
Another solution I’ve found that’s easier is to go into pic edit mode and to rotate the image 360 degrees. It seems to reset the value for the image’s orientation.
When you post pics to CoSo, it strips all the metadata off the photo. Unfortunately that includes data such as how the photo is oriented.
The solutions I've seen are to take the photo in landscape mode or to make a slight edit to the photo before posting.
My method is to download photos to my desktop and upload them to here from the desktop. I don't use the phone for much if I can avoid it.
Welcome home !
Please do share photos here.
If your photos turn out sideways, or upside down....

@annacgenx74
It is explained in this section of the user guide, but short version is to make an edit to the photo first, such as cropping it.
