editorial board publishes op-ed, "Donald is unfit to lead." But they don't call for him to drop out; instead they call for voters to reject him.

The Times, meanwhile, continues to beat the drum for to drop out.

So the electorate can decide about but not ?! More hypocrisy from the NYT.

I'm glad I cancelled my NYT subscription this morning.

@WordsmithFL

I guess they finally got the message?

Did they ask him to immediately end his candidacy?

@TheAbbotTrithemius "Did they ask him to immediately end his candidacy?"

No. They said the voters should decide.

They didn't extend Biden the same courtesy.

It's a response to all the cancellations they've received recently. I cancelled mine this morning. This only reinforces my conviction that I did the right thing.

@WordsmithFL

Yes, absolutely. I canceled mine last week.

And to hell with that wimp out from the NYT's editorial board who's clearly made up of cowards who are afraid of Trump and his cult.

Biden has given zero fucks to the blistering articles, op-eds, nitpicking critiques they've published...

Many prez hopefuls half Biden's age were left as smouldering wreckage in the GOP debates of 2016.

Biden may stutter but he didn't back down and just got sharper that night. He's not afraid of Trump.

@WordsmithFL

Some serious damage control taking place there by the NY Times. Peter Baker makes the case that there’s a separation between the news room and the NYT’s Ed board AND (this is rich) all the negative stories about Biden were

“Really about Trump….”

What a load of crap. They were running half a dozen news pieces on the front page while Trump was getting stories saying he was a whole different transformational fxkin convict.

What BS. Still not resubbing. Fxk em.

@mikeharmanos They are *so* desperate for to be out there for their clickbait.

The fact that they want to drop out but not tells us all we need to know.

I think they only published this because they've had massive cancellations in recent days (including me).

@WordsmithFL accurate and precise!

They say he’s unfit, but they don’t call on him to drop out.
They say he’s unfit, but they still have Maggie Haberman print his verbatim wishes.
They say he’s unfit, but they still give him “both sides” headlines.

Only one move then exists.

@mikeharmanos Why can't the voters decide about ?!

Crickets.

There's no unicorn out there who can guarantee a defeat. The GOP already has ample oppo research on any plausible Democratic candidate. They'll be after Harris as soon as she's anointed.

Come September, Dems would be saying, "I wish we'd stuck it out with Biden."

The French left and left-center beat Le Pen by unifying, not tearing each other apart. This is foolish.

@WordsmithFL There’s a great book from 12 years ago (Obama versus Romney) called “The Center Holds” by Jonathan Alter. It dives into the dynamics of the contest and how Obama built today’s Blue Wall.

Remember that 70-75% of voters, or 110 million people, have already made up their mind. It’s pretty maddening that some haven’t. Those people are generally disinterested in politics until Election Day. I wish it weren’t so, but I cannot deny the reality of their foolishness.

@WordsmithFL I'm not very familiar with French left of center party politics, but I wonder if they are as historically fond of shooting each other in the genitals as ours?
